Well, it has been a busy few weeks. Prepping and tidying the mad forest of greenery that has evolved in our gardens, has occupied a great deal of time. It has been so worth it to see the garden looking so tidy, even if it is only for a few weeks!
Last weekend, despite the rain, we welcomed many enthusiastic shoppers to the Gallery for the Apple Route Studio Tour. It was a great success. Lots of returning shoppers! It was great to visit with them. New browsers as well. We had lots of fun and just the right amount of mayhem!
In addition to my work, this year we showcased, on the screened-in porch, the work of 4 students who have been working with me from January/24 until Early June. during the time I have been working with them, I have been putting together an instructional manual that contains the lesson plans and the tips and ideas that we have been perusing.
The Manual is called On Becoming an Artist and Finding Your Creative Voice. It is A Tookbox for Creativity: in which is found Valuable Information, Hints, Encouragement and Inspiration, for becoming an Artist.
Yesterday I received the first colour copy from Willow Printing, Brighton, That was very exciting!
So here is where it becomes a Launch---of Sorts. I will be at the Cobourg Waterfront
Festival tomorrow from 3 pm to 6 pm and will have that colour copy with me. Come on down if you would like to have a browse!
Of course, Edward and Gladiola will be there with me along with their new workbooks.
