April 10. 1023
Well, today the front yard is awash with the most staggering array of wee blue blooms. In an unfortunate turn of events we had much to-ing and fro-ing of large equipment across our front lawn this Spring. A huge black locust tree became partially uprooted and was threatening to topple down upon our sun porch. Big equipment dealt handily with the tree but left huge bald and muddy ruts wherever they went.
We had serious concerns about the survival of the thousands of tiny Scylla bulbs buried under the grass.
We should not have worried. Except for a few bald patches, the Scylla sprang forth in their usual magical display and prompted me to take a little time to make a tiny painting.
