What a year it has been for the magnolias! That hit of hot and then the cool weather to follow has made this the best magnolia year ever. We planted this tree around 33 years ago and this has been it's crowning year. For it's first few years Bruce counted all the blooms. Early on he lost count at 1000. No Idea how many would be on it today.
We also have a gorgeous Star Magnolia that we view from the bedroom window. Unfortunately I did not get a picture this year as I did not get out there on time. The next few days will see this one start to shed and then there will be a lot of clean up but so worth it!
This is the magical time for which we have been waiting so long. Soak it up!!!
